What is Microneedling?

Microneedling, skin needling or collagen induction therapy is a treatment which uses a dermaroller “manual device” or an automated pen device normally known as “Dermapen” which is passed across the surface of the skin creating superficial punctures that penetrate through the top surface layer of the skin, creating channels without causing damage to the skin which stimulates a healing response. Serums are then applied to skin via the channels formed which rejuvenates, smooths and stimulates skin to reproduce. This treatment has many benefits of reducing acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, crows’ feet, sun damage skin, pigmentation issues and stretch marks. This is a high-end service which can be very lucrative in the salon/ clinic earning on average £80 to £100 per treatment!
